North Charleston Police has reportedly arrested a 20-year-old man Thursday in connection to a deadly July shooting.
John Ford is reportedly been charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
Police responded to the shooting at the Andrews Mart on Dorchester Road on July 6th at about 11:58 p.m. On arrival, officers discovered two shooting victims at the scene.
According to authorities, one of the victims was pronounced dead on the scene. Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal later identified the deceased victim as 28-year-old Elden Prioleau. The second victim was reportedly transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Police Spokesman Harve Jacobs said detectives identified Ford as a suspect after releasing a flyer showing images of a man they listed as a person of interest.
Ford is reportedly being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
