35-year-old Moran Ben-Eli from Ma’alot-Tarshiha and two of her sons Dekel Ben-Eli and Liam Ben-Eli and a daughter Annael Ben-Eli and 76-year-old Asher Basson, a resident of Kiryat Yam have been killed following a multi-vehicle collision involving a bus, van and cars that happened on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 on Route 89 in the Upper Galilee, near the town of Hurfeish.
According to Hebrew media reports, the bus with six occupants driving on Route 89 in the Upper Galilee veered off it lane hitting the cab and a van before overturning onto its side.

The driver of the bus, Asher Basson and Moran Ben-Eli and three of her children aged 15, 11 and 5 suffered serious injuries and died at the scene of the crash while her husband Reuven Ben-Eli has been hospitalized with life threatening condition.
According to MDA, three other people involved in the crash sustained serious injuries and 45 others suffered minor injuries. Two of those that suffered serious injuries are children ages 11 and 13. One of them was transported to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa for medical treatment while two people in serious condition, one in moderate condition and 17 with light injuries were transported to Ziv Medical Center in Safed.
Another victim in moderate condition and 26 others with minor injuries were transported to Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya.
