Ed Bounds, Jr. death ā€“ obituary, cause of death : Ed Bounds Jr. 83, of Diboll, Texas. Has been declared dead. He passed away on July the 19th 2012.

Ed was born on the 4th of August, 1928 in Apple Springs, Texas to the late Earnest Eli and Ollie (Williams) Bounds. He was a lifetime resident of Diboll and he worked and finally retired from Temple Inland. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church.

He was a perfect example of what it means to be a wonderful person. He had a calming presence and was extremely kind, he touched the hearts of so many, and was an inspiration to everyone who knew him.

He is survived his daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and M.L. Cruseturner of Lufkin, Joyce Ashton of Lufkin and Susan and Richard Keesee of Alvin; sons and daughters-in-law, Carlton Ray and Debbie Bounds, Jerry Lynn and Dana Bounds, James Edward Bounds, and Raymond Wayne and Paula Bounds, all of Diboll; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bounds was preceded in death by his wife, Corine Bounds; grandson, Joshua Bounds; son-in-law, J.L. Ashton; one brother; and one sister.

The family extends special thanks to Dr. Jansen Todd and the nursing staffs at Parkwood Place Nursing home and Hospice in the Pines.
