Port Mann Bridge Accident
Authorities have reopened fully Port Mann Bridge after the morning accident that happened around 10:20 a.m.
The eastbound traffic that caused the closure of Highway 1 happened on Monday.
According to report, a stalled pickup truck was rear-ended by a delivery-type vehicle moving on the eastbound lane.
The driver of the pickup truck who was outside of the vehicle sustained fatal injuries from the crash.
The emergency crews reported to the scene and pulled the driver of the delivery vehicle out of his vehicle. He also sustained serious injuries.
Police said, “Eastbound lanes on Highway 1 were intermittently opened throughout the day. They fully re-opened at about 4 p.m. At that time, traffic was backed up past the Kensington exit, with the afternoon rush already underway.”
