Hickson Kenneth death – obituary, cause of death : Hickson Kenneth 68, of Sudbury, Ontario, is dead. he passed away suddenly on Friday May 18th 2018.
Hickson was born on December 19th 1949, to Helen and Jack Hickson (both predeceased) in Peterborough, Ontario. He was a dedicated and loving husband, a father that demonstrated that greatness could be achieved through hard work and passion and a man that exemplified that a humble spirit and joyous heart could improve the lives of all around him.
He had a caring heart, generous attitude and a fun-loving personality that laid the foundation for years of lifelong friendships. It didn’t matter what you needed, he would be there to help you celebrate, mourn, fix things, build something or to just listen and offer a shoulder to cry on or smile to laugh with.
Kenneth was a loving husband who was best known for his infectious sense of humor and making everyone laugh. he was greatly admired for his athletic abilities in school and he passed his love and passion for sports down to all his children.
The little reminders that cause tears today will turn into little reminders that make us sad and then those little reminders will eventually make us smile and remember Hickson just as he would have wanted us to-with love, a grin and maybe a cold one.
Ken worked the majority of career at Vale (Inco) in various positions and he was involved in the union as well as health and safety committees. after his retirement, he spent his time gardening, golfing, traveling and working with the Parkside OAC helping seniors. Ken had a love for his dogs over the years and considered them his kids.
He had a big heart and was always willing to lend a hand and greeted you with his beautiful smile. he was a true Irishman who could tell a tale like none other.
He is survived by his daughters, Kelly Hickson and Tricia Hatfield. his grandchildren, Isaiah, Jonah, Isabella and Cyril James.
Cause of death:
The circumstances surrounding the actual cause of death had not been made public as at the time of writing this report.
A small private celebration of life was held on May 25, 2018, and at Ken’s request, a private family service was held in Peterborough on August 18, 2018.
