Haley Genesis Miller Death – Cause of Death – Police have identified the 16-year-old girl who was shot in the head in Fayetteville park Saturday night.
She was rushed to the hospital after the shot, she was on a ventilator for life-support and breathing.
The incident happened last Friday when Haley wanted to go see a football game at Terry Sanford High School in Fayetteville. She followed a friend actually in the hope of going to the football match – unknowing to her, the girl wanted to fight another at a park.
There was a great crowd gathered at the park during the fight, suddenly, there was a gunshot and Haley ducked behind a car. Another person shot at the car, Unfortunately, it went for Haley.
Afterward, the incident, Haley’s friend started driving her to the hospital, but unfortunately, the vehicle tire was flat because of the bullet hole. So, an ambulance had to come to pick her, according to Miller Haley’s father.
The bullet met her at the back of her head.
Haley’s Father Reactions
Chris Miller the girl’s father had been holding out hope for her survival. He spent every day by her side praying over her at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Doctors had said, even when her outlook was dreadful.
The doctors did not believed that she could use up to a week after a week of the catastrphic head shot.
Chris had said in an interview with WRAL just one day before her passing, “As a father, I still have hope, My faith is still strong. I’m still optimistic.”
Her father was optimistic about her still, he does not believe she would die
.He had said, “I know her. I’ve spent 16 years with her. I know what she would prefer. She would prefer to fight until the end.”
Police have not approached any suspect yet but an investigation is still ongoing.
