My little brother has been taken from this life far too soon.
Around 5:45pm yesterday Gregory Calkins was hit by a tractor trailer while on his motorcycle. The state trooper said he was doing everything right, not speeding or anything, and the truck driver did not see him when he pulled out and didn’t have time to stop.
You were far too young and you were doing so well in life! I love you so much Greggy and I just hope you knew that. I hate that we haven’t spent much time together or talked as much as we should have lately. I hate that it was you who was taken from us. The thing I hate the most is I can’t do anything about it now. Give Dad, Pop Pop, and Lauren hugs and kisses for us and watch over us all until we meet again!”
According to Sarah Wallace, “RIP Gregory Calkins. I know you will be missed by many people. You were very caring for everyone you came in contact with. No matter what you had going on you didn’t let it affect how you were towards others.
You continued to be happy and always put a smile on another face. You learned how to be responsible at an early age when you lost your Dad. I was so proud of everything that you did during that time. You were a great neighbour at one point.
I remember all the fun days that you had at my house with my boys. I really can’t believe that I’m seeing this all over Facebook. I’m so sorry to family and friends for the lost who really knew him he was a very caring, polite, and respectful kid. You were taken way to soon at an early age but you will be with your dad.”
Our sincere sympathy goes to the family and loved ones of Gregory Calkins.
