Gerald Lux, Benjamin Olvera Janesville Died on U.S. 14 Bradford, Wis Two-Car Accident

74-year-old Gerald Lux and 57-year-old Benjamin Olvera, both of Janesville have been identified by the Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office as the two men that died in a two-car accident that happened approximately 6:30 a.m. on U.S. 14 on Thursday, October 28, 2021 in the Town of Bradford, Wisconsin.
Preliminary investigation revealed that, the accident took place on U.S. 14, east of Janesville when a westbound 2011 GMC Acadia travelling on U.S. 14 driven by Lux veered in the eastbound lanes and was crashed into by an oncoming SUV driven by Olvera that was heading eastbound on U.S. 14.
Following the crash, both drivers were trapped in their cars. Emergency crews arrived the scene and extricated both drivers from their cars and performed life-saving measures on them. Unfortunately, they both succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash.
Meanwhile, the third car; a 2018 Cadillac XT5 behind the GMC ended up in a ditch beside the eastbound lanes as the driver veered off to avoid collision. The driver of the car identified as a Delevan man did not incur injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by the Rock County Sheriff’s Office and Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office.
