George Mraz death – obituary, cause of death : George Mraz 78, of Staples, MN. Has died. He passed away on October 2nd 2020.
George was born April 14, 1943 in Staples, MN. He was a former resident of Bemidji and later St. Paul, where he graduated from St. Thomas Academy. He had a funny and unique personality and was never afraid to show it and his friends loved that about him. He was described by his friends as someone who was always ready for a laugh.
He later went on to attend Loras College in Iowa and U of M. He started working at the computer industry and found his niche. he got married to Sharon Brumberg in 1971 and they had three wonderful sons, he later relocated his family to Arizona in 1980.
Mraz was an avid bridge player. He enjoyed playing and competing regularly in the Northwest Valley and teaching many others along the way. He was a director and a life master. After his retirement, he managed and eventually owned the Peoria Bridge Studio. He loved the bridge community.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, and their sons Tim , Mike, and Brad, their beautiful grandchildren Lee, Katie, Breanna, Wyatt, Cheyenne, Kendall, Jaxson, and Jocelyn; his sisters Peggy and Terry; and his brother, Will. He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Mimi and his sister Debbie.

A private family celebration of life will be held.
