Body found in a mountain in Argyll confirmed to be missing Hillwalker.
Frank Smith, 84 year-old was reported missing by his family after he was said to have gone up Ben Cruachan for a trip and did not return at the expected time.

Smith was reportedly seen last in the morning of Thursday, 5th of August leaving the Crianlarich Hotel where he stayed during his trip but never made it home.

A search began for the 84 year-old after he was declared missing. During the search, his vehicle was found in the ‘hill walkers’ parking lot.
Smith was said to have enjoyed hill walking. Helen Bang his daughter said some walkers had reported sightings of Smith to the police which helped them narrowed their search to a mountain in Argyll where his body was found.
Search teams where searching the mountains on Tuesday afternoon and found a body which was taken for identification and has now been confirmed to be that of the 84 year-old Frank Smith.

The police has said in their statement that ‘foul play’ is not suspected in the death of Smith and that investigation is still on-going. They also offer their condolences to the family of the 84 year-old man.
