Forty-one people have lost their lives and thirty-three others injured on Tuesday in central Zambougou near the town of Segou.
It has been reported that a passenger bus crashed with a truck carrying agricultural goods.
According to Diadji Sacko, the head of the National Agency for Road Safety, that one of the truck’s front tires blew out which caused it to run into the passenger bus.
Officials reported that too much speed and bad weather could be the cause; the heavy rain fall caused the road to be slippery at the time of the incident.
