Police say a 54-year-old family man, Ines Rosas, was struck by a stray bullet while sleeping next to his kids in their Park Palace Boulevard home.
The incident occurred at the Reveille Street and Park Place Boulevard at about 3 a.m. Thursday, according to police.
The father of three, Rosas said he was sleeping on the couch when his arm suddenly felt warm. Rosas said he felt it was an insect bite, until he touch the spot and noticed he was bleeding, reports says.
He disclosed he didn’t hear any gunshots but noticed a bullet hole through his front door and a bullet on the floor. He quickly checked up on his family to see if anyone else was hurt.
Rosas was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and discharged. He said he is grateful the bullet didn’t hit any spot that would have been fatal.
