Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Reese Obituary – Death, Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Reese Funeral

Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Reese of Hanover Twp., formerly of Plymouth, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, at the age of 97.

She was born in Larksville, Dec. 19, 1924, the daughter of the late William and Fanny McHugh Reese. She attended St. Vincent’s Parochial School and graduated from Plymouth High School with the Class of 1943.

She remained active in PHS alumni activities until very recently. She was a member of St. Robert’s Bellarmine Church in Lee Park. She was also a member of RCA Nipper’s Club, St. Robert’s Senior Citizens and The Friendship Club of Plymouth. She retired from RCA Mountain Top after 28 years of service.

Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Bill and his wife, Ruth; her brother, Bob and his wife, Rita; and her brother, Jack and his wife, Dorothy.

She is survived by six nephews; and one niece; plus a number of grand-nephews and grand-nieces and great-grand-nephews and nieces. She is also survived by her life-long friend, Sophie.

The family would like to thank Marianne and the nurses and staff at Fresenius Dialysis, Plains, Christine and the nurses and staff at Allied Services Meade Street Residence (formerly the St. Therese Residence at Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre) and the staff at the Allied Skilled Nursing Center for the great care they gave our aunt. Betty lived the last seven years of her life comfortably at St. Therese/Meade Street, where she received wonderful care and made many friends. It was a comfort to her family to know that she lived in such a caring environment.

Services will be private and will be handled by Kielty-Moran Funeral Home, Plymouth.
