“Well, the momma bear in me hoped to keep this news private for a minute out of respect for the family. But then… facebook.
We lost a brother yesterday. I woke to a message from his Jill.
Doug Margush was in an accident on his way home from his hunting camp. His truck went off the road, flipped and he didn’t survive the injuries. Autopsy today. Service details will follow when finalized but it looks like 10ish in Littlestown Saturday.
Please keep Jill, the kids, his parents and brothers in your prayers.
Doug was a laid back dude with a warm, kind soul. I don’t think he knew a stranger. Looked pretty rough and tumble. Opposite. Gentle bear.
He supported everything. All of my fundraisers. All the fundraisers I invited him too. Generous. And good luck getting ahead of him on the bar tab. All around good dude.
I am not a fan of country or blue grass, but when he sang along (singing MOSTLY correct lyrics) it was tolerable.
I will miss him forever.
Ride in peace Doug. I’ll see you again.”
May his soul rest in peace.
