Bruce Bodel car accident – $20,000 reward approved for anyone with information leading to arrest of hit-and-run driver
The reward leading to the apprehension and conviction of a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident that happened in Diamond Bar is now $20,000.
The Diamond Bar City Council in August, 2021 approved a $10,000 reward for anyone that provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of driver involved in the. accident.
According to report, the fatal hit-and-run accident occurred on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at about 10:30 p.m.
Bruce Bodel, 72, was taking a walk north on Penarth Avenue on Sunday evening close to his Diamond Bar home. While trying to cross the street at Lycoming Street, he was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to render assistance to the injured but instead fled the scene and headed southbound on Lemon Avenue.
Bodel suffered major injuries and he died days later.
The vehicle that struck Bodel is described as ” a two-door silver sedan”
