Florida Deland two-vehicle accident- Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed a Deltona teenager dead following a motorcycle crash on Monday, near Deland.

At 11:35 a.m., the teenager was travelling with motorcycle eastbound on State Road 44 at the entrance ramp to Interstate 4 when the motorcycle crashed into a sedan driven by a 79-year-old New Smyrna Beach man that tried to turn towards the westbound lane.

Authorities revealed that excess speed was a factor in this crash.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead. His identity will be revealed when the family members are notified.

The teenager was wearing helmet during the incident.

No additional information regarding the crash. It is still under investigation by the officials.
