David Tweed Motorcycle Accident, Former Ballymena Councillor and Former Ireland Rugby Player Dies In County Antrim Motorcycle Accident 

David ” Davy” Tweed Death – Obituary : 61-year-old David Tweed, ex Ireland rugby international player and former Ballymena Councillor has passed away following a motorcycle accident that happened around 16:30 BST on Thursday, October 28, 2021 on  Whitepark Road at the Dunseverick in North Antrim.

According to report, Mr. Tweed was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Tweed, the former member of the Orange Order in Dunloy was convicted in 2012 on child sex abuse charges which was cancelled in 2016 after he served four years of an eight year sentence.

DUP MLA Mervyn Storey described the news of Tweed death as “shocking” described him as “larger than life character”.
