Darrell Lamont Walker Death – Obituary : Police say they have arrested a truck driver who was wanted in connection to a fatal shooting in Mississippi following a second killing.

 Nashville police responded to a shooting reports at about 12:20 a.m. Aug. 15, 2020. Arriving officers located 55-year-old Darrell Lamont Walker with multiple gunshot wounds.

 

EMS  transported him to the TriStar Skyline Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries, reports said.

An eye witness told officers that a man was seen running from the scene of the shooting. And detectives identified  Alex Carmichael Williams,23, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi as the suspect, according to reports.

 

Williams, who was out on bond in connection to another fatal shooting, surrendered to Nashville police on Sept. 8th and he was placed under arrest on a charge of first-degree murder.

According to authorities, at the time of the Nashville shooting, Williams was wanted for allegedly shooting and killing 25-year-old Jermaine Hunter outside the victim’s home in Hattiesburg, on June 29, 2020. Williams surrendered to Mississippi law enforcement that October.

Williams also faces a first-degree murder charge in that case. He is currently being held without bond at the Davidson County Jail in Tennessee.
