The Chicago Police has reported its investigating the case of a home invasion, an incident which took place at about 11 p.m. Tuesday night.

A 49-year-old unidentified man reported hearing a loud clicking on his front door in the 9500-block of South Calhoun Avenue on the Jeffrey Manor neighborhood, Chicago, he saw two armed masked men making their way into the house.

The police disclosed that the victim had two men aged 25 and 24 living on the basement of his apartment, the said men heard the tumult upstairs and went to check, the three men fought the suspect, there was record of tussle and shots were fired, one of the invader was reportedly hit by a bullet and died, the 25-year-old man from the basement was also shot on the forearm and has been taken to the Trinity Hospital and is reportedly in a stable condition.

Area Two Detectives has disclosed that investigations and search for the other suspect who was reported fled the scene is still on-going.
