Catherine Lewis found dead – A woman from Belleville reported missing in Killaloe, northwest of Ottawa, in late December has been found deceased according to Killaloe Detachment OPP.
Police say they launched an investigation on December 31 regarding 48-year-old Catherine Lewis, originally from Belleville, after she had not been seen or heard from in several days which they say was reported as unusual behaviour.
Lewis was last seen in the area of Boyle Lane, in Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Township and was believed to be driving a 2018 Hyundai Elantra, blue/purple in colour, with the licence plate BYNX 442.
On Wednesday police responded to a call on Letterkenny Road, near Opeongo Road, in the Township of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan saying a vehicle matching that description had been found down a nearby embankment with a deceased person inside.
