A 39-year-old Omaha man identified as Carson Stiffler by the Authorities has been confirmed dead on Wednesday morning.
According to report, the two-vehicle crash happened near Exit 89 on I-29, which is by the town of Mondamin.
It was reported that a Honda Civic, driven by Stiffler, was moving south in the northbound lanes of I-29 when it collided with an SUV, driven by 20-year-old Serena Mailes of Sioux City head on.
Mailes was said to have been moving northbound on I-29 and tried to avoid the Civic before the crash.
Authorities said that “Stiffler’s vehicle veered into the median. Mailes’ vehicle also entered the median and hit a cable barrier, causing the SUV to roll on its driver side.”
The victims were rushed to hospital in Missouri Valley.
Stiffler was later confirmed dead at the hospital.
The state of Mailes was not mentioned by the officials.
Both drivers were waring seat belt during the incident.
