Morayfield man killed after two trucks rolled over in Carseldine
A 62-year-old Morayfield man has died after two trucks overturned leading to other vehicles crashing on a major road north of Brisbane.
According to report, the crash occurred on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at about 7:00 a.m. on the Gympie Arterial Road at Carseldine.
Two trucks travelling southbound had flipped over on the off-ramp, says Matt McGregor, Queensland Ambulance Service senior operations supervisor.
According to authorities, four vehicles were involved in the crash. A semi trailer and a flatbed truck collided before hitting two other cars waiting to make a turn onto Linkfield Road.
The semi truck driver, 62-year-old Morayfield man was declared dead on the scene while five people were treated by medics.
Three other men and a 40-year-old woman were taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, including chest pain and a head injury.
