1 killed following two-vehicle crash on Barton Highway in Canberra 

A man has reportedly lost his life following a three-vehicle collision involving two cars which happened on Wednesday morning on Barton Highway in Canberra

The crash happened west of the Gungahlin Drive bridge on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at  about 11:30am.

ACT Policing, believed that the truck was heading northbound while the two cars were making a right turn onto the Barton Highway when the collision occurred.

The three drivers were the only occupants of their vehicles. Two of the drivers suffered injuries but one succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.

According to Donna Hofmeier, ACT Policing Detective Acting Superintendent, the truck was not hurt in the crash, but had been taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Eye witness including two nurses  who happened to be driving at the time the incident occurred stopped to render assistance to the victims of the crash.

Events leading to the crash is still not known.
