At least one has died and six others fatally injured in Camby seven-vehicle accident that happened on Monday around 2 p.m.
According to report, the incident took place near the intersection of Camby Road and State Road 67.
The troopers are yet to release information regarding the cause of the crash at the moment.
Decatur Township Fire officials said “the crash caused the brakes of the semi to catch fire”
Indianapolis police was present at the scene together with a Richmond ambulance and semi to investigate and help convey the victims to hospital.
The incident took the life of one woman at the scene. The identity of the deceased is not revealed yet pending notification of family members.
Six other victims of the accident including children sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospital for treatment. Officer William Young with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department revealed that the two children among the six injure persons are now in stable condition.
The incident is still under investigation by the Indianapolis police.
