A Chicago man is currently facing murder charges in connections to a fatal shooting last year at the Burnside on the South Side.
According to the Chicago Police, Nathaniel Brown was reportedly arrested Monday after he was identified as the person who killed a woman and wounded another August 28 in the 800 block of East 88th Place.
Police disclosed that Kyra Gray, 35, and another woman, 31, were on the sidewalk when they reportedly heard shots and felt pain. Gray was struck in the torso and was reportedly transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
The 31-year-old was shot in the thigh and transported to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and was reported to be in a stable condition.
Brown, 21, has been charged with one count each of first-degree murder, aggravated battery and criminal damage of property, according to the Chicago police.
He was to appear in bond court Tuesday.
