14-Year-Old Boy Struck And Injured By Car While Walking Dog In Brooklyn 

A 14-year-old boy has sustained injuries after he was struck by a car while walking his dog on around 5:44 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2021 in Brooklyn.

According to officials, the boy was walking his dog at the intersection of Avenue X and West 2nd Street when a 80-year-old female heading westbound on Avenue X in a 2005 Chevrolet driving had brake failure and negotiated a left turn onto southbound on West 2nd Street and was crashed from behind by a 2021 Toyota. The impact of the crash caused the Chevrolet to hit the boy.

Paramedics arrived the scene and transported the boy with serious injuries but in stable condition to Maimonides Medical Center. It was not made known if the dog was hurt. While the drive of the female driver of the Chevrolet and a 85-year-old male passenger were taken to NYU Langone.
