Des Moines man killed on U.S Highway 30, Chelsea motorcycle accident
Bin Sei Cho Death – Obituary: Bin Sei Cho, 23, of Des Moines has been identified as the victim that died in a motorcycle accident on east of Tama, U.S. Highway 30.
On Sunday afternoon, around 4 p.m. Cho was moving westbound on Highway 30 when for reason yet unknown his motorcycle hit a transit van trying to cross the four-lane highway on county road V18 in southeast Tama County.
Authorities identified the driver of the van as Gordon Galloway, 59, of St. Charles, Ill.
It was stated that Galloway failed to yield while crossing the four-lane intersection before his van collide with the motorcycle.
Cho sustained fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead by the officials.
Galloway was also injured and was moved by Tama Ambulance to UnityPoint Health in Marshalltown.
The Iowa State Patrol, Tama County Sheriff’s Office, Tama Police and EMS, Belle Plaine Police, Fire and EMS and Chelsea Fire were all present at the scene for investigation.
Investigation is still on by the Iowa State Patrol.
