Berkeley police search for missing resident considered at risk

Berkeley Police Department is attempting to locate Taylor Black, who was last seen May 1 at his home in the Poet’s Corner neighborhood of the city.

Black is a 40-year-old white male with red hair and brown eyes, and he may be driving a black Subaru Impreza station wagon, according to a BPD Nixle alert. Black is considered at risk as he may be depressed and possibly suicidal, the alert noted.

Black is 6 feet, 2 inches tall and roughly 290 pounds and is known to frequent Oakland and Daly City, according to the alert.

The alert asked anyone with information on Black’s location to contact BPD’s Homicide Unit at 510-981-5741.
