Scott Baker Death – Obituary : Authorities have identified Scott Baker, 56, of Marysville as the man that died following a two-vehicle Collison on interstate 5 in Everett, Washington on Sunday.

Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Baker on Wednesday.

The crash occurred when Baker was driving a Chevrolet Malibu south at a high speed around 4 p.m. when he was between lanes.

Afterwards, his car his car rear-ended the motorcycle, flinging the rider into a brush along the right shoulder.  Baker’s car veered off the highway, crashed into two other vehicles and landed on a barrier.

The impact of the crash extricated Baker from his car into a water-filled ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash after he succumbed the injuries sustained.

According to medical examiner, Baker died as a result of drowning.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 64-year-old resident of Marysville was rushed to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

The crash is still under investigation.
