Shadijah Utsey Death – Obituary : Authorities have identified Shadijah Utsey, 20, as the victim that died following Solano County fiery multi-vehicle crash that occurred just before I-80 and I-505 Freeways on Thursday, August 12, 2021.

According to authorities, the five-vehicle crash occurred around 4:55 a.m. when a young woman reportedly crossed all lanes with her Toyota Camry before colliding with a black 2019 Hyundai Ioniq that was driven by 71-year-old Harold Sawyer Jr. of Albany.

According to a witness at the scene, three other vehicles; a Honda Civic driven by Angel Zavala-Alvarez , 42, of Antioch, a Volkswagen Golf driven by Nicholas Hanson, 33, of Rohnert Park and a silver GMC Sierra driven by Humberto Hernandez, 34, of San Pablo also collided with Camry.

The impact of the collision ejected Utsey from her car to the fourth lane. Unfortunately, Utsey succumbed to the severe injuries suffered at the scene of the crash.

Meanwhile, Sawyer and Hanson were transported to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vacaville for the treatment of minor injuries by paramedics.

Condition of other drivers where not immediately made known.

Tow trucks removed the vehicles including the Volkswagen with major front-end structural damage and the Honda with moderate front-end structural damage from the scene of the crash.
