Austin Hollar death, South Carolina accident victim identified as missing Columbia County man
Austin Hollar Death – Obituary : Austin Hollar has been identified as the missing Columbia County man that was killed in a single-vehicle accident that occurred close to Beech Island, South Carolina.
According to report, the body of Hollar was found on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 around 11 a.m. at 3472 Silver Bluff Road near Atomic Road in Beech Island.
Authorities believed that driver of the car was ejected from the car after allegedly striking a tree and that the crash occurred days before his body was found.
According to Ables office, the car was heading west when it veered off the road, went down a barrier and struck a tree and the driver was ejected.
Hollar was reported missing to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday, September 25, 2021 when he did not return home after leaving work in Aiken, says Ables.
Hollar family members and friends had arranged meeting on Tuesday morning in the area when his cellphone indicated he had been to search for him . They agreed meeting at the Dollar General at Williston Road and Silver Bluff around 9:15 a.m. to commence the search before the news of his discovery was made known.
An autopsy test will be carried out on his body in Newberry.
Investigation into the cause of the crash is still ongoing by Ables’ office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
