Authorities of the Anaheim Police Department disclosed a homicide suspect was fatally shot by their officials Tuesday.

At about 11:55 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 2400 block of West Greenleaf Avenue on receiving a call from a victim who said they had been shot in the area, according to Sgt. Shane Carringer of APD.

On arrival, officers discovered a victim with gunshot wounds. As officers make their way in, there were confronted by an armed suspect, reports sated.

Carringer disclosed “an officer-involved shooting occurred and at least one police officer fired their weapon, the initial responding officers backed out of the home and they were replaced by Anaheim PD SWAT officers.”

SWAT officers entered the residence and found the suspect and the initial homicide victim dead inside the home.

The suspect had been fatally shot by officers.

Authorities are yet to provide more details about the victim nor the suspect. They only confirmed both are male.

“Anaheim PD homicide detectives are working to determine the motive for the apparent homicide and the relationship between the two deceased subjects,” Carringer added.
