Search for Anne Simpson:
Police searched for Anne after she was reported missing. The Lincolnshire was said to have had an anonymous call days after which led to the searching of a lake in Leicestershire.
In 2012, a 62 year-old man who was reportedly living in Devon at the time was arrested in the disappearance of Anne.
Earlier this year, a new revelation in the case was discovered. Contrary to what was told the police at first that Anne had been drinking with her partner who she was living with, it was found out that they were not alone but with two other men who were also having a drink with them. The identity of the two men however hasn’t been established but they were said to be two bikers.
Anne’s granddaughter, Stephanie said “Straight away he kind of comes out with, ‘okay I’ll tell you. She was here with two bikers, Tom and two men. I don’t know who they were or who Tom was in relation to Nan. I just know they were all here and they got into a bit of a disagreement and Tom and the two men left’. That completely blew our minds of the fact all these years later, 10 years, 11 years later, his story was clear as anything. And that, that was kind of a big game changer for us.”
“We’ve never got to the bottom of these two men. The landlord of the pub has never really given a description of these two men. Nobody’s ever had a sighting of these two men. So we know they exist, but we don’t know who they are or what they are or what they even look like.”
Anne Simpson description:
The then 60 year-old was described as a White aged female who has bulb blonde hair and brown eyes. She is of big build.
No distinctive features or birth marks were given.
