Angela Sue Sanders death – obituary, cause of death : Angela Sue Sanders 55, of Waukee, has died. She passed away on August 3rd 2021, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines after a courageous 11+ year battle with Stage 4 breast cancer.
Angela was born on October 17th 1965, in Flushing, New York, to Carlos and Carol Orezzoli. She was a perfect example of what it means to be a wonderful person. she had a calming presence and was extremely kind, she touched the hearts of so many, and was an inspiration to everyone who knew him.
She was married to Jeff and they raised two beautiful children. Angie was kind and caring, always putting others before herself. She was a joyous and faith-filled woman who inspired her family and friends.
Faith was a priority for her and she lived it out every day. a longtime member of Lutheran Church of Hope, she would share her faith and musical talent in worship. She loved and enjoyed volunteering at Hope and especially loved singing in the choir, being a Shepherd at Kingdom Quest and VBS, and hosting Alpha.
Sanders was a tough and strong willed to beat cancer, even when the odds were against her. She put her faith in God and asked friends and family to pray for her, she endured many highs and many lows on her cancer journey and praised God all throughout doing so with a big smile on her face. Angie fought long and hard to the end and is now totally and completely healed in heaven. She is walking and dancing with Jesus!
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Jeff, son Nathan Sanders and daughter Olivia Sanders, sisters, Carla Orezzoli-Braby, Terri Orezzoli-Reschke, her mother, Carol Orezzoli, father-in-law, Bob Sanders, sisters-in-law, Jill Sanders and Marcie Watson, brother-in-law Jason Sanders, nieces, Emily Vonderhaar-Meister, Cora Reschke, Schipper Sanders, and nephews Colton Reschke and Ty Sanders. She was preceded in death by her father, Carlos, and mother-in-law, Ruth Sanders.
Funeral services will be at 11 am, Tuesday, August 10, at Lutheran Church of Hope (925 Jordan Creek Parkway, West Des Moines 50266). Visitation will be from 4-6 pm on Monday, August 9 at the church. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines. Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Church of Hope.
