James Shillam Death – Obituary – Cause of death : James Shillam, 56, was a teacher and assistant football coach at Allen High School, has passed away due to covid complications.

James Shillam had been placed on a ventilator but sadly he didn’t survive. He was hired in July and had previously coached at Carrollton Newman-Smith. He had all the qualities of a good coach. He was a faith fill individual and work with it. He had just been hired on as a Freshman Football Coach at Allen High School but He died just days short of Allen ISD’s season opener this coming Friday. He had been a coach for 26 long years.

” Allen ISD is heartbroken to learn of the passing of James Shillam, and our deepest sympathy goes out to the Shillam family,” the district said in a statement to the Star-Telegram on Wednesday. “Coach Shillam joined Allen ISD late this summer, and we are mournful of the fact that we could not witness the positive impact that he would have left on our students and our school district.”

He is survived by his wife kyp. “He is the most generous, kind, stable, righteous man I have known,” Kyp wrote of the Allen coach. “He is my rock and my everything. He is a Godly man and loving father who loves his players, students and the coaches he shares the sidelines with. He stepped foot in his promised land of Allen High School – the Eagles.”

He will be deeply missed by all.
