Alaska Boat Sinking Survivor, Jon Lawler Dies In South Anchorage Motorcycle Accident

Jon Lawler Death – Obituary : 36-year-old Jon Lawler,  has died from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident that happened around 7 p.m.  at the intersection of O’Malley Road and C Street on Sunday, October 31, 2021 in South Anchorage.

Lawler, resident of Anchorage was pronounced dead on October 31, following the motorcycle accident. He died of injuries suffered from the motorcycle crash.

According to report, Lawler was operating his motorcycle southbound on C Street when he lost control of the bike at the intersection and crashed.

He suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. He was one of the two people that survived the Alaska, Scandies Rose crab boat sinking that claimed the lives of five crew members which happened in December 31, 2019.

Friends and family have taken to various social media platforms to mourn his demise

“I lost my friend Jon Lawler (Johnny Law) on Sunday. I still can’t believe he’s gone. The world is an emptier place without his larger than life personality in it. This was the guy who was almost the only survivor of a fishing boat sinking in the frigid waters of Alaska in December. I thought he was indestructible”. 

“The Bickford, Cobban, Fish, and Knagin family remain deeply saddened by the passing of Jon Lawler (Johnny Law) last night in a motorcycle accident. Our hearts go out to his wife Brianna, his Mom Colleen, and sisters Lisa & Heidi”.
