Adam Mayo was a lawyer from Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He also won the “Best Lawyer” award this year.

Originally from Chapmansboro, he is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and the Denver School of Law. The Lawyer is known for his hell-bent nature.

Further, he was also a longtime board member for Friends of the Yampa. In addition to that, his legal guidance helped the Friends of the Yampa become a legit 501-C3 in 2011.

Adam Mayo passed away on December 17, 2021.

His death was announced by the Kayak Community. According to them, the accident occurred while paddling Mexico’s Class V Upper Rio Jalacingo near Veracruz, Mexico. Additionally, his fellow kayaker Nathan Werner, of Ft. Collins., CO, was also severely injured in the accident with multiple spine fractures and a clavicle fracture.

Further, it was reported that the incident occurred from the two expert kayakers accidentally running a mandatory portage on the classic, basalt-lined Mexican river in the Veracruz region, getting ushered over an unrunnable waterfall.

According to kayaker Emmett de Maynadier, he mentioned that he went for rescue when he did not see two kayakers return to the lodge. He also added that he did not realize that Mayo has died until about four hours after his initial contact with Werner.

Adam Mayo Survived By His Wife Sallie Holmes. Adam Mayo was married to his wife Sallie Holmes.

The lawyer has kept his personal life private and therefore, not much is known about his married life. However, the news of his demise must have terribly affected the lawyer’s love of life. Further, the couple is known to have no child at all.
