Betty Hodo Death : Obituary

A driver who died Wednesday after her car crashed several feet off a bridge to the Beltline below has been identified as an 87-year-old woman.

Cause of Death

Report says the 87-year-old Betty Hodo, from Atlanta, died in the crash at Ralph David Abernathy and Cascade Road on Wednesday afternoon.

Fire Rescue was already on the scene when Police officers arrived. They reported to the police that the driver inside the car was deceased.

The witnesses testified that Hodo had just left the nearby parking lot of a shopping center when she went through the fence along Ralph David Abernathy and fell on the Atlanta BeltLine below.

Investigators are still working to know why the car went off the road. APD said it appeared to be a single-vehicle accident. No charges will be filed.
