79-year-old woman found dead after apparent break-in at Rowan County home

Police are investigating a homicide after a woman was found dead in her North Carolina home Thursday.Deputies from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home on the 700 block of Wyatt’s Grove Church Road after family members found 79-year-old Judy Eller Hoffner dead around 8 p.m.Few details have been released, but crime scene investigators were on the scene and speaking with neighbors just after 9 p.m. on Thursday night.On Friday, detectives confirmed they had found evidence of a break-in at the home.
