1 dead, 2 others injured in a three-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 98

A 79-year-old man from Mary Esther has died and two others hurt following a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 98 at Parish Boulevard on Sunday, August 15, 2021.

Report has it that the crash occurred just before Parish Boulevard in the Florosa area east of Mary Esther at about 7:30 p.m.

The crash happened when a van driven by 59-year-old man traveling west attempted making a turn off highway 98 onto Parrish Boulevard. The driver of the van did the see an oncoming sedan from the east approaching the intersection. The sedan then struck the passenger side of the van, killing the occupant.

The driver of the van, also from Mary Esther, sustained critical injuries while the 46-year-old driver of the sedan of Baker, Florida sustained minor injuries.

A third car, was also hit but none of the occupants sustained any injuries.
