Man injured after lorry ran into six vehicles in Jalan Ipoh
On 6th September, 2021, officials reported a fatal multi-vehicle accident that nearly claimed the life of a man after the lorry of a 25-year-old man ran into pile-up vehicle.
The incident which involved a lorry and five vehicles happened at the traffic light intersection along Jalan Ipoh on Monday, at about 2:40 p.m.
According to preliminary report, the man driving the lorry was travelling from Jalan Duta toward Sentul when he lost control of the vehicle and crash into the five cars in traffic in front of the Jalan Ipoh Yong Tow Foo restaurant.
One of the victims of the incident, the 45-year-old driver of the Myvi was rushed to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital at the green zone for the treatment of a minor injures sustained in his face. No other victim sustained injuries.
Preliminary test ran on the driver of the lorry proved he was driving under alcohol influence. he was later detained by the police.
City Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Asst Comm Sarifudin Mohd Salleh were present at the scene for investigation.
