Bicycle rider killed after colliding with motorcycle in Orange County

A 37-year-old Christmas woman lost her life in a two-vehicle accident in east Orange County and was hit by a motorcycle racing a second vehicle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

On Sunday afternoon, around 2:55 p.m. the Christmas woman was riding bicycle down, she tried to cross the intersection of Colonial Drive and Avalon Parkway when she was crushed by a 2004 Suzuki motorcycle driven a 26-year-old man.

According to report, the motorcycle was moving east on Colonial in the left lane when it was hit by a white BMW.

The victims; the bicycle rider and the motorcyclist sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital where the woman later died.

The identity of the deceased was not released by the officials pending notification of family members.

The White BMW fled the scene after the crash. Authorities are still searching for the driver.
