27-year-old man shot and killed in Moses Lake, suspect arrested

Grant County deputies say a 27-year-old man was shot and killed in rural Moses Lake early Sunday morning.

Deputies responded to a shooting report near the Larson Housing Area, off Highway 17.

Officers on enroute, received another call of domestic disturbance nearby. Deputies located an unidentified 27-year-old man with gunshot wounds.

He was transported to Samaritan Hospital, where he was reported to have succumbed to his injuries some time after.

Witnesses told deputies the man was arguing with 48-year-old David Hagar, and as the argument escalated, Hagar shot him several times and ran back to his home.

Deputies contacted Hagar, who came out of his home an was taken into custody.

This is an active investigating the incident.
