19-year-old charged in fatal shooting of Manhattan mother, wounding fiancé

Shadina Smith Death – Obituary : Authorities say they have arrested a 19-year-old Moussa Cisse, of Manhattan, in the killing of a young mother and critically injuring her fiancé, after a seven-month search.

Cisse was identified in March as the person responsible for the Jan. 16 fatal shooting of Shadina Smith.

29-year-old Smith told her fiancé, Joshua Hall, that Cisse molested her outside of her apartment on W. 150th St. near Frederick Douglass Blvd, reports said.

The couple then confronted Cisse, who in-turn pulled out a gun and fired several shots, striking Smith three times in the chest. Hall was shot in the chest and arm but survived.

Smith, who had a two-year-old son, was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Cisse is facing charges of murder, attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of a weapon.
