According to reports, a female teen is recovering after being shot on the I-95 close to Christiana Mall early Sunday.
Delaware State Police reported the shooting occurred about 12:30 a.m. Aug. 15, 2021.
Three teens were reportedly heading north on the highway near the Churchman’s Road bypass, when they heard a sound of what they thought was a rocks hitting their car.
According to reports, a 17-year-old was hit to the shoulder, she was then taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The teens were unable to give a description of the vehicle where the shots may have been fired from or any possible suspect’s.
Officers are hoping other drivers will come forward with helpful details.
