11-year-old boy shot and injured in South Side Bronzeville

Authorities say an 11-year-old boy was accidentally shot and wounded Sunday morning after another child mistakenly pulled the trigger in a home in South Side Bronzeville.
The incident happened at approximately 1:55 a.m. in the 4000 block of South King Drive.

Investigators say the child was in the living room with two other kids when one of them aged 8-year-old fired a handgun accidentally, reports said.

The child was transported to Comer Children Hospital in a stable condition.

It is not immediately clear how the 8-year-old minor got access to the weapon.

No arrest has been reportedly made.
