Woman dead, 2 others injured following Sturgeon County head-on collision
A woman has died and two others hospitalized following a head-on crash that happened north of Edmonton of on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at about 12:30 a.m.
According to report, the two -vehicle crash involved a Ford F-150 and Jeep Grand Cherokee. Both vehicles were travelling at the intersection of Highway 28 and Sturgeon Road when the crash occurred.
The woman who was the driver of the Jeep sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Meanwhile, a child who was a passenger in the vehicle was flown to the Stollery Children’s Hospital by STARS.
On the other hand, a man who was the a driver of the F-150 was transported to the hospital with unknown degrees of injuries.
Authorities believed that alcohol is a factor that contributed to the crash.
The crash is still under investigation.
